Actress Iza Calzado reminded her followers that it’s okay to rest and they should not neglect their bodies, as she shared that she is recovering from another respiratory infection.
Calzado took to Instagram to share an art card that says, “Hey, you’re allowed to rest.”

Rest is such a crucial part of our well-being yet it is often overlooked. In today’s hustle culture, we often associate hard work with success. My question to myself is: What is all the success for if you’re no longer around to enjoy it? And if you’re a mother like me, to enjoy the biggest blessing we have been given—our children,” she wrote.

Still coughing but definitely, hopefully fully healing from my pneumonia,” she said. “Moved to a new home and environment and the improved air quality is already better for my lungs.”

As defined by healthline.com, pharyngitis is “an inflammation of the pharynx that causes scratchiness in the throat and difficulty in swallowing,” while bronchitis happens when bronchial tubes become swollen and inflamed that makes it harder for air to pass in and out of one’s lungs.
Last year, Calzado also revealed that she contracted a parasitic disease called toxoplasmosis during her pregnancy with her first child, Deia.
